TableTime was started by Wijdekerk to gather LGBT+ people and others together to church. And is there a better place to experience this than at His table? It’s important to mention that these gathering are not to convince each other, but rather to inspire, support, encourage and accept in the Love of Jesus Christ.

 

TableTime offers a format to start groups all across the country. The intention is to meet every 2 months. That can be at member’s home, or at a different suitable location. This will also depend on the size of the group. The private Facebook group TafelTijd connects the groups and after discussing a theme during an evening, this is also the place to connect and share your thoughts with others. This is how we can learn from and inspire each other. We can also read and see (pictures, vlogs) what the TableTime theme has brought others. Together we are the one Body of God.

 

TableTime has composed a menu that you can use for your group. These menus can be found on this page and are free for the host to use. He or she can download and print these for their own group and meeting. You can edit them as you see fit. The host of each TableTime will rotate every time and he or she will take care of a candle, bread to break and wine or grape juice for the guests. The guests bring their own food and drink to share with the others (potluck). The host will also make sure that everyone gets a chance to have a say in the different discussions and keeps an eye on the time.

 

During the annual Wijdekerk day, on the first Saturday in October, there is a chance to meet the other people from the different groups.
